Wow! How this week has flown by at camp. I have always loved going to camp when I was young and it blows me away that God allows me to do this in South Africa with kids that love it as much as me. This is my 7th trip to South Africa with FASA. And I can say that what God does here is always so awesome. He has shown up in big ways this week. We had so many kids accept Christ this week, 6 from my group alone. Heaven is truly celebrating this week. I told my kids over and over that I really wanted to know that I would see them again, if not here then in heaven.
Sometimes the camp day gets tiring by about Thursday, but we remained really strong till the end. The young leaders here did a fabulous job and were super invested in these kids. I had the blessing of having two young ladies as teammates. They were both new to the leadership team and this was their first camp. I was really able to bond with them. I had asked God before I came this time to provide someone I could build a real relationship with and he provided two beautiful young ladies. I am really looking forward to that and I have already started to communicate with them on WhatsApp. I pray God helps me to be very intentional with this gift. I love most of all that God never leaves us where we are. He promises to constantly be changing us, 2 Corinthians. 3:18 – ‘So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.’ I am so glad God is changing me!
